This policy explains how InstructionalStrategies.org, a live production website, handles information when people visit the site or choose to contact it.
Information you choose to provide
The Contact page may ask for your name, email address, subject, message, and an optional page URL. Please do not submit student names, student-identifying details, confidential school records, or other sensitive information.
The site uses Contact Form 7 for contact submissions. Submissions are delivered through authenticated email using the site’s dedicated Gmail account. Each notification includes the visitor-provided form fields and the privacy acknowledgment. The visitor’s submitted email address is used as the Reply-To address. No automatic response is sent to the visitor. The dedicated Gmail address is not displayed publicly because visitors can use the Contact form.
Cookies and consent choices
The site uses Google’s privacy and consent messages for European regulations and applicable U.S. state privacy regulations. Where shown, visitors can consent, decline consent, manage options, and exercise applicable rights to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Necessary cookies or storage may support security, administration, password-protected access, or other essential site functions. Browser settings may also be used to delete or block cookies, although doing so can affect some site features.
Analytics
StatCounter remains active on the site for site analytics and visitor statistics. StatCounter’s tracking cookies are disabled, and IP addresses are masked so full visitor IP addresses are not retained. Details of StatCounter’s processing are governed by the site’s configuration and StatCounter’s applicable privacy terms.
Google Analytics 4 is not currently active.
Advertising and affiliate links
Google AdSense is active on the site. Google and participating advertising vendors may process information and use advertising cookies or other storage where permitted. Personalized advertising is shown only where permitted and, when required, after consent. For more information about how Google uses data on sites that use its services and available privacy controls, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and My Ad Center.
The site may use clearly disclosed affiliate links; a qualifying purchase may generate a commission without increasing the reader’s price.
Hosting, security, and technical logs
The site’s hosting provider, WordPress, and security tools may automatically process technical information such as IP addresses, browser or device details, requested pages, timestamps, login attempts, and error or security events. This information may be used to operate the site, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and protect the site and its visitors.
Embedded content and external links
Some pages may include links to or embedded content from other websites. Those services can collect information, set cookies, or track interactions according to their own policies. InstructionalStrategies.org does not control the data practices of an external site.
Retention and access
Contact messages and technical records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for communication, site operation, security, recordkeeping, or legal obligations. Exact periods can vary by the type of record and by hosting, security, or email-provider settings.
To ask what personal information has been provided through the site, request a correction or deletion where applicable, or raise another privacy question, use the Contact page. A request may need to be verified before information is disclosed or changed.
Policy changes
This policy may be updated when the site’s services or practices change. The date at the top will be revised when a material update is made.
