Student teachers can lose hours trying to make every lesson plan, slide deck, handout, reflection, and university assignment look finished at the same time. When the workload piles up, the useful question is not "How do I finish everything?" It is "What has to be ready first so tomorrow still works?"

The Workload Triage Tool uses the time you have, the state of tomorrow's lesson, near-term program deadlines, and your current backlog to build a short priority list. It deliberately pushes required classroom preparation and hard deadlines ahead of decorative polish or optional rebuilding.

Use the curriculum you already have

Student teaching is not a test of how many original worksheets or beautiful slides you can create. If the cooperating teacher, school, or curriculum already has usable materials, start there and adapt only what needs to change for the learning goal and students in front of you. Save your limited time for decisions that affect instruction, clarity, management, assessment, or a required deadline.
